Beaune

Beaune is an important winemaking area in the Bourgogne region. The Dukes of Burgundy chose Beaune as their capital before moving on to Dijon, and this history is reflected in the attractive, quaint streets and courtyards in the town. Beaune is a culturally vibrant and thriving town; with many festivals and fairs taking place all year round. It is also home to a major wine auction.
