Once a village in its own right, Harlington is now lost in London's urban sprawl, and effectively an island in a sea of aggregate extraction and concrete. Located in the borough of Hillingdon, Harlington is no more than 5 minutes drive from London Heathrow Airport and as such, is a convenient stopover for those arriving at or departing from the airport. Situated on the M4, Harlington is easily reached by car, while the Heathrow Connect train links Hayes & Harlington station with London Paddington – expect a journey time of 20 minutes, The nearest London Underground station is Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 & 3. Some hotels and B&Bs in the locality offer airport transfers and/or car parking facilities.
