Tamworth Castle sits amongst picturesque gardens alongside the River Tame. The mote-and-bailey castle dates from 11th century, and is one of the best-preserved examples of its kind. There have been numerous additions to its structure over the centuries and the castle is also famous for its alleged ghosts.

Tamworth Snowdome is Europe’s first indoor ski slope. The 170-metre course, covered with real snow and open all year round, makes this one of the major sports attractions of the midlands. There is also an ice rink and a whole programme of activities to choose from.

The renowned De Vere Belfry golf course in nearby Wishaw has been home to the Ryder Cup on several occasions. There is an adjoining luxury hotel with leisure club and health spa.

Drayton Manor Park is one of Britain’s most celebrated theme parks and a perfect location for a family day out. It is home to 'Apocalypse', the world’s first stand up tower drop ride and an assortment of other activities and equally terrifying roller coasters. Last year the park was awarded 'Visitor Attraction of the Year' in the Heart of England Tourism Awards.

Twycross Zoo is only a short distance away in Atherstone, Warwickshire. The zoo houses an impressive and varied collection of animals, enclosed within 40 acres of beautiful countryside.
