Castellon

Situated on the Costa del Azahar, Castellon has countless attractions. The beaches along this coast are among the best in the country and the waters are clear and warm. Castelló beach is only four kilometres away from the old town and here you will find its fish market and Sailing Club.

Attractions

The centre of the old town of Castellón de la Plana lies around the Plaza Mayor. Attractions here in the oldest part of the city include: the 18th century City Hall, the Procathedral and the El Fadri (The Bachelor) belltower. There are many squares where you can enjoy strolling through gardens with orange trees or past aristoctatic houses and beautiful churches. The Plaza de la Paz houses the theatre and several unusual buildings.

Shopping

Shopping is centred around the streets of Alloza, Colón, Mayor and Enmedio.

Eating Out

The many squares act as meeting places within the town and at night you can sample Castelló's cuisine, typically rice dishes, fish and shellfish from the coast and vegetable and fruit dishes from the fields.
